Master Mixologist Jacques Bezuidenhout
Jacques is the Master Mixologist for Kimpton Restaurants' bars, lounges and dining rooms throughout the country. San Francisco's Fifth Floor is his base of operations, and it is here that he directly manages the libations program. When you order a drink, it is a cocktail that Jacques has personally played a role in creating. His combination of fresh ingredients and highly regarded liquors has generated a truly unique drink menu exemplifying cocktail creativity. Jacques Bezuidenhout is also one of only a handful of beverage managers who can truthfully speak of visiting every single type of major distillery - gin, vodka, scotch, bourbon, rum and tequila - on the planet.
Reputation & Awards
Jacques is well known throughout San Francisco for his tremendous knowledge of liquor. He has been voted Best Bartender in San Francisco by Anthony Dias Blue and is annually appointed a judge in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. He played a critical role as well in launching San Francisco's United States Bartenders Guild.
Jacques is a graduate of the prestigious BAR program, directed by Paul Pacult, Steve Olsen, Dale DeGroff, Dave Wondrich and Doug Frost, and has served as a Brand Ambassador for Plymouth Gin and Partida Tequila.
