Bar Manager Brian Means

Brian Means is the bar manager of the Fifth Floor restaurant. Brian is invigorating the Fifth Floor bar program with a new beverage program including a new, seasonal cocktail list. As a passionate member of the local San Francisco bar community, Brian is an active member of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG), and contributes regularly to a number of cocktail websites and blogs.

Brian didn't grow up thinking he wanted to be a bartender. Like many, it started out as a part time job, but soon, it grew to be Brian's passion. He became the lead bartender at Chow in Danville, and in addition to developing the cocktails for the ever changing menu, he was responsible for staff training and managing inventory. From there, Brian spent some time behind the bar at Zero Zero. Here he created a number of seasonal hand crafted cocktails and worked closely with a number of local influential bartenders.

When not behind the bar at the Fifth Floor, Brian can be found concocting new cocktails in the kitchen of the Fifth Floor, or at the bar of a local restaurant.

"These are simple cocktails to make at home; perfect for summer or that next BBQ with all your friends. Or for a night on the town, come by the Fifth Floor and let me do the work for you!"
